To the National Health Service institution, we include among others various buildings such as walk-in centres, hospitals and other buildings. The most common floor coverings used in these places are vinyl carpets, linoleum and PVC. On the other hand, in offices and administration buildings regular carpets are mostly used.

The most popular carpets in this group are the elastic ones most often laid in receptions, corridors and stairs, wards, doctors’ offices, bathrooms and toilets.

Separate group of carpets constitute carpets used in diagnostic rooms, operation theatres and computer rooms. In these rooms, mainly special electrostatic carpets are used due to the fact that they keep a difference between electric charges in such a level that electric discharges are practically unnoticeable. Apart from that these carpets should be easy to maintain and resistant to different chemicals, disinfectants and resistant to heavy load.

On the other hand, in sterilization rooms predominantly anti-slippery, waterproof, durable, resistant to heavy load carpets are used. Another crucial feature of elastic carpets is its soundproofing abilities and inflammability. Additionally, carpets surface may be secured from scratches, damages, bacteria, fungi and sun rays.
